Youth Program Director for Metro Louisiana

Job Summary

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Louisiana seek an experienced Youth Program Director to oversee the daily operations of our Clubhouse. This is a full-time position that requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated professional to lead our programs and services, supervise staff, manage facilities, build community relationships, and administer membership. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in recreation, behavioral sciences, education, administration, or a related field, with at least three years of experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in program management.

Main Responsibilities:

• Establish and implement programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success.
• Ensure a healthy and safe environment, maintaining facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs to meet stated objectives and member needs.
• Manage financial resources, including budget development and expenditure control.
• Recruit, manage, and provide career development opportunities for staff and volunteers.
• Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders, volunteers, and organizations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in recreation, behavioral sciences, education, administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years' experience working with children and adolescents.
• Excellent human relations, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and the Internet.
• Ability to collaborate with other community-based teen organizations and social service agencies.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year (estimated).
