Responsible for implementation of a broad range of programs for youth between the ages of 5-12 and that prepares youth for success and creates a Club environment that facilitates achievement of

Qualifications
Safe and Positive Environment
- Actively engages and addresses the needs of Club Members
- Provide immediate assistance to youth in need
- Represents self as a positive representative of BGCT
- During work hours, focus full attention on Members
- Ensure that Club equipment (play equipment, athletic balls, books, tables, chairs, etc.) is in good working order
- Ensure safe arrival/departure of Club Members at enrolled site location
- Support Members in emergency drills/routines
- Know and practice safety policies including transitions and bathroom usage
- Be aware of surroundings and environment (uninvited guests, unknown vehicles, etc.) to minimize possible harm, hurt or injury
- Ensure directions and expectations are clear for all Club Members
- Ensure Members feel welcomed and valued
- Routinely scan program area for safety hazards (cleaning chemicals, exposed electrical equipment, excess water, etc.), and report findings
- Assist Club Members with storage of their personal belongings (book bags, coats, lunch boxes, etc.)
- Acknowledges youths feelings and appropriate behavior
- Reinforce emotional and physical safety
- Ensure safe use of the internet
- Responsible for opening and closing down facilities during program time
- Set up program space to prepare for the day to ensure safety of members

- Participates in activities alongside Members

- Plan and facilitate opportunities for youth voice when making choices in activities and programming

- Provide onsite support at schools prior to school pick up, if applicable

Opportunities & Expectations
- Ensures compliance with BGCT policies & procedures
- Attend staff meetings and trainings
- Maintains daily contact with team, to determine opportunities and challenges
- Assist members with routine clean up throughout program time, and at the end of program time (no trash on the floor, books and games neatly put away, chairs pushed in, and not materials or supplies on the floor)
- Ensure youth are positively engaged in programs and activities
- Commit to work schedule (requests for leave must be in accordance with company policy), be timely, and be present
- Responsible for documentation and data tracking as directed by supervisor or site coordinator
- Work together to achieve program objectives and goals
- Provide and receive information as warranted, and provide guidance and consistent recognition of members

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate excellent teamwork skill

- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Other Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
- Acceptable background check
- Successfully complete New Employee Orientation and any additional training requirements
