POSITION / DEPARTMENT : Operations / Facilities Manager
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Minimum – High School Diploma with 10 years of facilities management experience OR Associate degree from an accredited institution and at least 5 years of directly related experience OR Bachelors degree and at least 3 years of related experience. Experience needed in Microsoft products, capital projects, personnel management, and facilities management. Organizational, detail oriented, communication and customer service skills are required. Valid driver’s license required. Electric, HVAC, plumbing, or trade certifications are preferred.

SUPERVISOR / CHAIN OF COMMAND : CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
WORKING SCHEDULE : Exempt, full-time salaried position scheduled to meet the needs of the position and BGHNC.
SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for providing leadership and direction of BGHNC’s facilities and grounds maintenance of the entire BGHNC campus and overall operations. This includes BGHNC’s car wash.
- Responsible for fleet management - owned and leased vehicles. Tracking condition, location, drivers, inspections and maintenance needs, registrations, etc. and ensuring completion and compliance with all. Maintain relationship with Enterprise.
- Utilize speed monitoring system and Enterprise software system.
- Provide capital project management including quotes, evaluation, proposals, cost analysis, monitoring and working with contractors.
- Monitor and evaluate condition and infrastructure of BGHNC campus and buildings.
- Responsible for providing supervision / direction to regular full-time maintenance department employees and grounds maintenance contractors, including functions, priorities and schedule.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of the landscape plan annually.
- Responsible for overseeing the contractor in the preparation, maintenance and planting of all flower beds trees, shrubs, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring the general policing of the BGHNC campus (i.e., trash, debris, streets, etc.).
- Responsible for the cleanliness and safety of all buildings used to store grounds tools and equipment.
- Responsible for contributing onsite World of Work project ideas; interacting and supervising when necessary with World of Work coordinator.
- Schedule and monitor inspections and reviews of such as items as fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc. to ensure safety and compliance.
- Responsible for the safe operation of all tools, implements and machinery and shall execute sound judgment, prudence and responsibility to ensure that anyone assigned to operate these items has been trained on them and is safety-conscious in the proper operating techniques.
- Utilizing FMX maintenance software to perform and track most maintenance functions optimizing performance and production.
- Attend all staff meetings as a department head as deemed necessary by the CFO.
- Prepare an annual budget for the Maintenance Department and grounds maintenance contract.
- Available to the CFO to cooperate and assist in the overall identified needs on campus, off-campus facilities and Country Store..
- Assist HR with all timely paperwork that is required to be turned in for personnel files. Complete performance appraisals on all supervised employees timely and turn into HR. Assist HR with new hires and ensure they have all training completed that is required by policy, state laws and OSHA.
- Organization and management of Auto Shop, Woodworking Shop and Welding for Thomas Academy.
- Any other related duties assigned by the CFO and / or the CEO.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Direct supervision of residents who are emotionally troubled / challenged. May require physical interventions (restraints), mental creativity, and active participation in sports, educational, social and other physical activities.
