Job Summary
Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Camp Maintenance Specialist is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and proper sanitation of all camp facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for campers and staff. This role involves cleaning cabins, restrooms, dining areas, and common spaces, as well as managing waste disposal and restocking supplies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a camp setting.
Responsibilities
- General Cleaning : Maintain cleanliness of camp facilities, including cabins, restrooms, dining areas, and common spaces.
- Restroom Sanitation : Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, and replenish soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Trash Removal : Empty trash cans and recycling bins throughout the camp and properly dispose of waste.
- Floor Care : Sweep, mop, vacuum, and occasionally wax floors in indoor spaces.
- Laundry & Linens : Wash, dry, and fold camp linens.
- Restocking Supplies : Ensure cleaning supplies and toiletries are stocked and notify the supervisor when inventory is low.
- Outdoor Maintenance : Maintain the cleanliness of walkways and gathering areas.
- Minor Repairs : Assist with small maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting larger maintenance issues.
- Safety & Compliance : Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a sanitary environment for campers and staff.
- Collaboration : Work with other camp staff to support cleaning schedules and respond to special cleaning requests.
