Compensation: $20.00-$22.00
Hours per week: 20-25 hours/week
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast is one of the most innovative, fast-paced and premier non-profits in Orange County and is looking for a GREAT LEADER to join our dynamic team. We are a highly effective, results-driven, mission-focused organization and we need a high-functioning, energetic, organized and committed professional to fill the critical role of Family Strengthening Coordinator. The Family Strengthening Coordinator is a part-time, position who serves as a key staff member, with the responsibility of ensuring quality control, community partner networking, community outreach and engagement, and program coordination.
The primary function of the Family Strengthening Coordinator will be to work in collaboration with the Director of Family Strengthening to coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of Family Strengthening services. This includes all classes, workshops, events and services and will support in developing new relationships with new community partners. In addition, this position will require networking with community partners, school leaders, and Boys & Girls Club leadership. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with Director of Family Strengthening and Community Manager in regards to scheduling programming for site. The coordinator will manage member memberships, provide reports, highlighting attendance, classes, workshops and new partnerships. This individual will help with the overall growth and development of Family Strengthening programing, as it relates across the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Orange Coast Clubs.
KEY ROLES
Leadership
1. Implement the Family Strengthening Initiative and introduce new programs specifically designed to strengthen families.
2. Work with the Director of Family Strengthening to ensure the Family Strengthening Initiative is meeting all goals and objectives.
3. Collaborate with staff, volunteers, parents, partners and other stakeholders to ensure resources are accessible, relevant, publicized and of the highest quality.
4. Coordinate programs, facility usage, staffing and equipment usage with regards to the implementation of family strengthening programs.
Strategic Planning
1. In collaboration with the Director of Family Strengthening, plan, develop, implement and evaluate all aspects of the Family Strengthening Initiative.
2. Set and meet ambitious goals for program results and participation.
3. Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.
4. Research, study and regularly evaluate best practices and strategies to improve quality of programming and increasing impact. This includes regularly participating in professional development opportunities such as webinars, visiting other Clubs and attending workshops and trainings.
Resource Management
1. Work with the Director of Family Strengthening to responsibly manage the budget; monitor and report variances in revenues and expenditures.
2. Ensure administrative and operational systems are followed to maintain the operation of the physical properties and equipment of the Club, including use of facilities by outside groups.
3. Manage all adult and children memberships under Family Strengthening department.

Partnership Development
1. Develop and manage collaborative partnerships with other organizations, members, parents, families and stakeholders.
2. In alignment with the Family Strengthening Initiative, develop and maintain relationships with relevant community partners.
3. Engage and support community events, community partners, neighborhood associations, parent groups, committees and groups that will raise awareness of the Club, enhance programs or support the mission.
Marketing and Public Relations
- Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services and activities within the Club and the community.
- Provide success stories, program highlights, partner updates and photos as requested.
Additional Responsibilities
- Purchase supplies and equipment.
- This position may require working at any of our BGC of Central Orange Coast locations.
- Weekly driving to pick up donations from our partners.
- Will be leading bi-monthly food distribution program and managing reporting.
- Drive work van as needed.
- Ability to have a flexible schedule, some weekends and alternative hours may be requested for special events and summer time schedule.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must have a minimum 40 college units
· Human or Social Service majors or related field preferred
· Minimum one (1) year experience working in youth/family services
· Must be able to lift 30 pounds and operate a pallet jack
· Must be available: Monday-Friday from 1:00pm-7:15pm, 20-25 hours a week and must be able to work a full 8 hour day on food distribution day (biweekly)
· Must have a valid Driver’s license and insured car.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.
· Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with a variety of constituencies, both inside and outside the organization.
· Ability to establish and meet deadlines.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Mandatory CPR and First Aid certifications.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
· Proficiency in office-based computer programs.

Salary : $20 - $22
