Job Description- This is a part-time position
- The ideal applicant will have evening availability Monday through Friday. We are hiring afternoon and evening hours. 2pm - 9pm
The Boys & Girls Club of East Providence is seeking applicants to plan and run youth activities at the Clubhouse on Williams Ave in East Providence and East Providence High School
Applicants MUST have:
*Must be at least 21 years of age
*Previous experience working with youth
* Hold a high school diploma and college credits preferred
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Program Development and Implementation
- Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for program participants. Programs include but are not limited to: Art activities, sports and recreation, character and leadership building activities, STEM and social and emotional development.
- Monitor and evaluate programs and activities to ensure health and safety of members, Prepare periodic activity reports.
- Ensure a productive work environment by participating in all scheduled staff meetings.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May participate in special programs and/or events
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Preferred minimum one year of previous experience with youth
- High School diploma, college credits preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
