As "The Positive Place for Kids," we provide guidance-oriented character development programs for youth ages 5 to 17, led by professional staff. Our mission is to nurture self-esteem and growth by instilling a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competence in every child. Through interactive programs and activities, we empower young people to develop self-confidence and reach their full potential.
About This Seasonal Role
The Youth Development Professional is responsible for leading age-appropriate activities that engage youth in areas such as arts & crafts, sports, reading, games, outdoor recreation, and technology skills. This position plays a key role in supporting our core focus areas:

This is a seasonal position with the following work schedules:
- Summer: Weekdays, 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM or 1:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Youth for Success:
- Foster a positive environment that encourages growth and confidence.
- Promote and encourage program participation.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to youth members.
Program Development & Implementation:
- Plan, lead, and supervise engaging activities for members.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
- Monitor and evaluate programs to maintain high-quality experiences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of program spaces.
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with children or youth development preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide youth.
- Ability to plan and implement creative, quality programs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to supervise members and create a safe, positive environment.
- Valid driver’s license (or willingness to obtain one).
- Must pass a background check.
- Applicants must be 18 years or older.
