Position Summary:
The Tween Programs Coordinator is responsible for leading and supervising activities in the Tween Room for members ages 10-12. This position reports directly to the Teen Services Director and ensures a safe, engaging, and positive environment for all participants.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience working with tweens (ages 10-12).
- Ability to plan, organize, and lead group activities.
- Basic knowledge of social recreation games and educational/career development.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), patience, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to manage a busy and active environment.
- CPR/First Aid certified or able to obtain within 6 months of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Tween room, ensuring safety and appropriate behavior.
- Lead new and traditional Tween room programs.
- Create and update bulletin boards to promote activities and celebrate achievements.
- Provide guidance and support to tweens as needed.
- Communicate with fellow supervisors and directors about program updates, member concerns, and maintenance needs.
- Keep accurate records of activities and attendance.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and the facility.
- Request supplies in advance to support program needs.
- Align Tween room programs with the mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Lansing.

- Well-organized and engaging Tween room programs.
- Strong participation and attendance from club members.
- Programs that promote personal growth, goal setting, and self-esteem.

Position Details:
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (hours will vary by season).
- Job Type: Part-time (20-25 hours per week).
- Pay: $16.00 per hour.
- Benefits: Paid time off to include sick pay.
- Location: In-person role in Lansing, MI 48910 (must relocate before starting if not already local).
