What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marshfield Extension-Front Desk Coordinator position at Boys & Girls Club Of Portage County Inc?
Position Summary:
The Front Desk Coordinator serves as the front-of-house staff and Club member relations liaison. They monitor the front entrance for both proper entry and exit of Club members, visitors, volunteers, and family members. The safety of Club members and the portrayal of Boys & Girls Club mission and vision are the primary responsibilities of this position.
- Ensure proper check-in and check-out procedures are followed for all visitors, staff, volunteers, Club members, etc.
- May be required to close or open building using proper procedures
- Respond promptly and appropriately to family/visitor concerns using proper chain of command
- Must independently utilize available information and resources to ensure all CLub members safely enter and exit the building
- Serve as a brand ambassador to all visitors
- Create and maintain a healthy, safe, and organized front desk environment
- Assist in the coordination of assigned volunteers and provide evaluation and feedback
- Secure, maintain, and monitor materials, equipment, and resources belonging to the front desk/entrance area
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of Lost & Found area and Front Desk
- Read and answer emails promptly
- Communication of needs for materials and supplies at least one week in advance
- phone calls professionally and promptly
- Maintain proper tracking of memberships
- Maintain an accurate database of Club members
- Communicate efficiently with Directors on any and all issues that may arise with members or their families
- Ensure all forms, reports, and necessary administrative materials are accurate and up-to-date
- May be required to drive Club van
- Assist in member recruitment
- Flexibility to work clubhouse hours as seasons and service needs change
- May participate or assist in special programs/events/field trips
- May be required to provide First Aid/CPR (will be trained)
- Assist in or handle special assignments or other duties as deemed necessary or important by supervision

- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with children from diverse backgrounds

- Sitting or standing for several hours at a time
- Some lifting and moving of moderately sized objects
- Some driving may be necessary
- High noise levels may occur for extended periods of time
