Looking to fill year round, summer only & school year only positions at our Bemidji locations.
Job Description:
Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate activities and programs at the Boys & Girls Club of the Bemidji Area. The Club works to provide a safe & fun environment where youth can learn from caring adults, have opportunities, be recognized and set high expectations for themselves and others.
Prepare Youth for Success
- Ensure programs, services and activities that prepare youth for success, promoting safety of members and quality in programs at all times. Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of the strategic plan by:
- Planning, organizing and implementing a range of program services and activities for drop in members and visitors;
- Initiating new programs with the approval of the Unit Director;
- Recommending the development of service area programs; and
- Promoting and stimulating program participation.
- Ensure quality improvement by monitoring and evaluating program achievement against target goals, strategic plan & deliverables, recommending modifications that respond to member needs and interests and participating in programmatic staff meetings.
Health and Safety
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment, supervising members in program areas; using the 5 Key Elements of Impact & Club sponsored guidance and discipline techniques to build assets in youth.
- Manage facilities and ensure a productive work environment, maintaining an inventory of all program equipment and supplies in good order. Recommend requisitions, as necessary.
Leadership
- Lead assigned volunteers and provide ongoing feedback to the volunteer and as well as inform the volunteer coordinator.
- Demonstrate leadership by comprehending and contextualizing our key initiatives, goals and mission.
Background check and references required.
Program offers flexibility in scheduling. Staff can expect about 25-30 hours per week if they are available M-F. Those with lighter availability are still encouraged to apply. School year hours typically between approximately 2p.m. and 7:30p.m. M-F and summer typically fall between 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. M-F.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.20 - $19.75 per hour
