PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Front Desk Manager is responsible for the general responsibility of customer service, membership management, record keeping, and limited financial administration. As the first point of contact at the Club, this individual must demonstrate high energy, positivity, and professionalism at all times.
During the academic year, Front Desk Manager position shift runs Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 7:00pm; during summer hours, the shift runs Monday - Friday, 1:00 - 6:00pm.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
STANDARD JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide guidance and role modelling to members, especially as they work through conflict, navigate friendships, strive for academic success, and live healthy lifestyles.
Program Development and Implementation
Under the direction of the Club Operations Director, the Front Desk Manager will:
- Maintain accurate daily record of membership and attendance information for the Club for Club Members, Volunteers, and Guests; oversee arrival/dismissal
- Oversee aspects of new member and parent orientation;
- Input accurate attendance records into MyClubHub (Salesforce); training provided
- Develop and demonstrate proficiency in MyClubHub functions, including data entry, data reporting, and other administrative tasks.
- Answer phone calls and conveys accurate and timely messages.
- Assist in collection of membership dues as needed.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with members, volunteers, and parents and/or guardians.
- Communicate Club Updates to parents/guardians
- Maintain confidential files related to membership, assist to ensure Club attendance and membership dues/fees are up-to- date.
- Prepare and issue new membership cards.
- Report any parent/guardian concerns and member concerns to Club Operations Director and/or Program Directors.
- Assist in efforts to promote the general Club environment through activities, events, or initiatives.
RELATIONSHIPS:
- Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct, and advise/counsel.
- External: Maintain contact as needed with external community groups, schools, member families, and others to assist in resolving problems.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills
· Ability to supervise Club members in a safe environment
· Valid State Driver’s License
· Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or to obtain within 6 months of date of employment, and annually thereafter)
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- High School diploma required; college degree preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a Boys or Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
- Experience working with children and/or knowledge of youth development
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the public
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
- Demonstrated organizational, staff, and project management abilities.
- Valid State Driver’s License
· Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or to obtain within 6 months of date of employment, and annually thereafter).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Front Desk Managers may be required to be on their feet for extended periods of time. They must also be able to lift at least twenty-five (25) pounds.
