SYSTEM INFORMATION TECHNICIAN (HEAD START)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Determine the basis of problems related to equipment and systems. Takes corrective action to maintain the operation of the organization s information networks in optimal conditions. Manage and modify operating systems. Train internal users of the organizations, designs systems, applications, modifies and implements databases.

TASKS AND ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Communicate complex problems to suppliers and repair companies to be corrected.
2. Manages and modifies operating systems.
3. Install and configure hardware and software components such as Child Pluss Platform, Class Dojo and others as needed.
4. Travel to center sites
5. Create emails and Office profile for new employee
6. Cancel all access to terminate employee as needed
7. Coordinate and facilitate training the internal users of the organization.
8. Assist Teachers & administrative staff with hardware and software challenges

1. Design systems and applications.
2. Design, modify and implement database.
3. Develop procedures for system users.
4. Analyze computer systems and level-specific programs.
5. Modify utilities, tools, programs and functionalities of external suppliers.
6. Evaluate operating systems and provide recommendations for possible applications.
7. Program, verify, and install microcomputers and peripheral equipment.
8. Handle and fix problems and takes preventive corrective measures.
9. Work and maintain required job security standards as part of their essential duties.
10. Implement, maintain and review the security measures defined by the asset owners.
11. Report and record any incident, vulnerability and opportunity for improvement in the field of Information Security.
12. Safeguard the information system of the company and that which has been entrusted to it.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or related field, preferred.
• At least two (2) to four (4) years of experience working in related field.

• Proficient with MAC and Microsoft OS
• Computers and Electronics Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• Customer and Personal Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Engineering and Technology Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
• Education and Training Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
• Interacting With Computers Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
• Making Decisions and Solving Problems Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
• Processing Information Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

• Performing Administrative Activities Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.

• Normal internal office environment with some travel to Club locations across Puerto Rico. Availability to engage funders on evenings and weekends are a core part of this position. Frequent internal contacts with employees throughout organization required. Drive for more than three consecutive ours.
