Pathways Healthcare Careers Teen Ambassador
We are seeking two dynamic individuals to join our team as Pathways Healthcare Careers Teen Ambassadors.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for teens aged 15-18 to gain valuable leadership skills, experience, and exposure to healthcare careers. As a Pathways Healthcare Careers Teen Ambassador, you will be responsible for designing and presenting original workshops on healthcare careers to pre-teens, leading engaging discussions with your peers, and helping organize events and activities at your club.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and present an original healthcare careers workshop for BGCB pre-teens as your capstone project.
- Create and lead engaging healthcare careers discussions with your peers under the direction of the Pathways Healthcare Careers Director.
- Help organize healthcare events and activities at your club alongside the Director of the Healthcare Careers Pathway.
- Organize monthly awareness campaigns to share on your club's social media.
- Share Pathways Healthcare career programming info through bulletin posts and social media.
- Connect with other teen ambassadors across different clubs.
- Participate in professional development workshops such as "Crafting your Message".

Requirements:
- Must be a BGCB member aged 15-18.
- Complete 11 hours of paid training before starting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Be passionate about healthcare or interested in learning more.
- Comfortable presenting to groups, especially peers and pre-teens.
- Basic tech skills or willing to learn (for creating presentations).
Work Demands:
- Able to be on site at club(s) for meetings, professional development workshops, monthly TTA Meetings, and events.
- Able to commit from February through June 2025.
