Responsible To
Swim Program Supervisor
General Function
Ensure safety of all swimmers and assist in classes and other activities conducted in the swimming pool.
Know How
Must have Red Cross Life Saving Rating.
Job Segments
Position requires a high energy level, and ability to perform multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Superior interpersonal abilities are needed. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, at all times displaying tact, maturity, and flexibility. Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, and standing for four plus hours per day. Skills essential for successful communications include speaking writing.

Swim Program Supervisor
General Function
Ensure safety of all swimmers and assist in classes and other activities conducted in the swimming pool.

Job Segments
- Enforce all pool rules.
- See that boys and girls shower and are clean before swimming.
- Assist with swimming classes and tests.
- Help organize games and special events in pool.
- Lifeguard is in charge of pool when Swim Program Supervisor is out of pool area.
- Observe all safety precautions at all times.
- Assign staff or personally stand outside of restroom door whenever a member is in the restroom.
- Help maintain the pool and swimmers’ records.
- Assist in other areas of the club when pool is closed due to weather or other issues. (Appropriate shoes and attire required.)
- Participate in Staff Meetings and Conferences.
- Assist in keeping members aware of the swimming schedule.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the Boys & Girls Club.
