Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Program Aide to join our team and work directly with teens. In this role, you will assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating youth programs that promote positive development, engagement, and empowerment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with young people, have strong communication skills, and be able to foster a safe and supportive environment for teens.
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and delivery of educational, recreational, and community-based programs for teens.
- Supervise and engage teens during program activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Assist in preparing materials and resources for program activities.
- Encourage positive behavior and conflict resolution among teens.
- Help facilitate group discussions, team-building activities, and skill development workshops.
- Monitor and track participants' progress, providing feedback to program leaders.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and other program-related data.
- Assist in outreach and recruitment of teens to participate in programs.
- Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required). College students or graduates in Education, Social Work, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience working with teens or in a youth development setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with teens.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Positive, energetic, and patient attitude.
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors and manage group dynamics.
- Must pass background check and adhere to all safety protocols.
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Cerole or other languages) a plus.
- First Aid/CPR certification (preferred but not required).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
