We are seeking a passionate, results-oriented Vice President of Development & Marketing to lead our fundraising and marketing efforts. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Executive Leadership (20%)

  • Collaborate with the CEO to set and execute the strategy for fundraising, ensuring it aligns with the Club’s mission and goals.
  • Partner with the Board of Directors to implement resource development strategies and track progress toward ambitious fundraising targets.
  • Provide leadership in securing major gifts and driving corporate sponsorships, government contracts, and private grants.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, ensuring that our revenue generation goals are not only met but exceeded, with a focus on growth and sustainability.
  • Foster a culture of giving by working closely with the CEO, Board, and staff to inspire and guide donor engagement.

Fund Development (65%)

  • Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of all fundraising activities, including events, campaigns, and donor solicitation efforts.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key donors, helping to inspire and increase their giving through personalized engagement and stewardship.
  • Develop and implement a strategic donor segmentation plan, focusing on major gifts and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Collaborate with the Board and senior leadership to expand funding sources and increase private sector revenue.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of capital campaigns and major gift initiatives, driving significant philanthropic growth.
  • Manage and mentor the development team, ensuring they are well-equipped to execute successful fundraising strategies.

Community Engagement & Marketing (15%)

  • Elevate BGCC’s public profile, strengthening its reputation as a leading force for good within the community.
  • Work closely with the Development Manager and marketing team to create compelling digital content and social media campaigns that build engagement and donor support.
  • Represent the Club at community events, public speaking engagements, and partner gatherings to promote the mission and raise awareness.
  • Direct the creation of all marketing and fundraising collateral, from direct mail pieces to social media campaigns, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with local community organizations and partners, expanding our network and amplifying our voice.

Relationships:

  • Internal: Work closely with the CEO, senior leadership, and the Board of Directors to ensure alignment with organizational goals and fundraising strategies. Mentor and collaborate with the development team to maximize effectiveness.
  • External: Cultivate strong relationships with donors, prospective donors, community organizations, and key stakeholders to expand support for the Club’s mission.

Requirements:

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required; a graduate degree is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in fundraising, event planning, and management, with a demonstrated track record of success in meeting fundraising goals of $500K - $1M .
  • Experience managing donor portfolios and leading a team to achieve ambitious fundraising goals.
  • Proven expertise in major gifts, corporate giving, foundation grants, crowdfunding, and sponsorships.
  • Strong knowledge of fundraising technology, including CRM systems (particularly DonorPerfect) and marketing tools.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills, with the ability to connect and build rapport with diverse groups.
  • Deep understanding of the local community and established relationships within the California region.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.

Salary : $130,000 - $145,000
