What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mountain Biking Coach position at Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona?
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arizona is expanding our mountain biking program to develop and offer youth rides and field trips throughout the school year in addition to the summer day camp mountain biking program, now in its 5th year of operation.
The Mountain Biking Coach will be onboarded and trained as all our Club staff for youth development, engagement and safety. This position has two major job functions.
- Develop, administer and facilitate after-school monthly and summer weekly mountain biking trips.
- Engage and work as an active team member for the Prescott Club Staff Team.
Mountain Biking Job Duties:
- Research and determine proper trail systems for Club rides
- Plan and administer monthly mountain biking rides in the area
- Connect, recruit and facilitate mountain biking volunteers to assist in coaching and ride safety
- Maintain, and repair mountain biking equipment, gear and assets.
Prescott Club Team Job Duties
- Attend and administer club activities for the general after-school program.
- Serve as youth development professional for a ratio of 20 youth members.
- Provide support to the Club team in an emergence of low staff numbers (on-call back-up)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- After school
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Experience:
- Mountain Biking: 3 years (Required)
Ability to Commute:
- Prescott, AZ 86303 (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Prescott, AZ 86303: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
