20 - 25 hours a week, 4 to 5 hours a day
Hours: Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm
Job Summary:
Responsible for project managing Florida Alliance Workforce grant and support services related to the implementation of the workforce programs at all sites on a weekly basis, reporting, and supporting department strategic plan. Works closely with the Director of Teen Services and meets bi-weekly for data reporting, assessing challenges and needs at various sites. This position will work closely with Service Directors to create a database for data collection and ensure implementation of the grant (e.g., workforce programs executed on a weekly basis for all grade levels).
Key Role:
- Coordinates with Teen Service Director on the strategic initiatives and implementation of workforce readiness programs and activities, data collection and management, providing updates, efficiency, and reporting procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring deadlines are met, recordkeeping is timely and accurate, and all workloads are managed appropriately to meet department goals.
- Coordinate with Service Directors, Program Directors, and Teen Directors on due dates for projects and deliverables.
- Support Services Directors, Program Directors, and Teen Directors with logistics, program events, and data tracking.
- Collaborate with Service Directors, Resource Development Officers, and Volunteer Directors to securing volunteers for:
- Providing Career-focused mentoring at various sites.
- Providing workshops and programs that teach soft-skills and technical skills, such as communication, critical thinking, problem solving, digital technology, leadership, professionalism, and career management.
- Assisting with the grant program delivery as needed – including facilitating curriculum, maintaining safety ratio procedures for the Clubs and field trips.
- Identifying and reporting program needs based on data collected and analyzed to Teen Service Director.
- Providing bi-weekly reporting and participating in strategic planning meetings.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
- Six months of experience working in a service organization, with emphasis on workforce development programs and activities.
- Proficiency/comfort using technology and data, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
- Principled with high ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity.
- Ability to work in constantly evolving environment (range of tasks, ambiguity, flexibility) while still exercising and implementing standard professional processes and systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with various people.
- Sensitivity to confidentiality requirements.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record, and consistent access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance required.
- Good written/oral communication skills, ability to speak to various audiences about BGCCF Life & Workforce Readiness initiative (WAY).
- Good presentation and public speaking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all types of people.
- Outstanding organization, time management, and Microsoft Office skills while providing attention to details.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Physical requirements: Ability to read and interpret documents such as financial reports, safety rules, operating instructions, and policy manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. The ability to clearly and concisely exchange/receive ideas, facts and/or technical information with others. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and formulas. The employee is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Work environment: Normal office environment.
