PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Program Director plans and implements the delivery of exciting, engaging and age-appropriate programs within the priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship for youth between the ages of 5 and 18. The Program Coordinator will incorporate youth development principles; provide guidance to club members; and provide leadership and supervision to assigned program and volunteer staff.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Prepare Youth for Success
- Plan and implement designated programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes:
- Establish program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.
- Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.
- Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of programs areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s).
- Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of members.
- Measure program effectiveness.
Program Development and Implementation
- Effectively implement and administer programs, services, and activities for youth.
- Maintain program goals and settings that insure the health and safety of members. Ensure program areas are safe and the club equipment is maintained in good working condition.
- Monitor and evaluate programs and activities to ensure safety of members, quality of services and appearance of the Club at all times.
- Offer youth a broad array of academic and enrichment opportunities that complement and support school
- Prepare periodic reports
Supervision
- Maintain and care for Club supplies and equipment
- Ensure a productive work environment by participating in assigned staff meeting
- Responsible for taking a leadership role in the Club Manager’s absence
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May assist with special programs and /or events and/or participate in the implementation of other activities as necessary.
- May be responsible for light housekeeping and cleaning
- May consult with parents concerning member and club issues.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or a combination of education/equivalent experience.
- A minimum of three years’ work experience in a youth development organization and/or social service experience working with children.
- Experience in planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of youth.
- Understand the responsibility of self and staff as mandated child abuse reporters.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to continuously stand, walk or sit. Ability to function for more than two hours on your feet. Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently. Will be working in a Club environment with children. Ability to be outdoors during all seasons occasionally. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
