Middlebury Club- Middle School Program Supervisor
Job Summary:
This position oversees all programming for youth grades 6th through 8th. The Middle School Program Supervisor will plan and execute high-impact, outcome driven programs for the Middle School Teen Center including, but not limited to, college preparatory programs and entrepreneurial programs.
This is a full time position. Schedule will be M-F, 12-8pm.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees, implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided in the Middle School Teen Center with a strategic focus on building outcome-driven programs, and collecting measurable outcomes.
- Lead BGCA programs including, but not limited to Torch Club.
- Lead workforce readiness programming.
- Collaborate with community partners to identify and implement external programming.
- Create and execute engaging in-house events for teens such as dances, parties, conferences, etc.
- Establish member pipeline by maintaining a presence in Middle Schools for events, lunches, recruiting, academic interventions, etc.
- Participate in community events to grow visibility of Middle School Teen Center and offerings.
- Recruit, supervise, manage and support Middle School Teen Center staff, tutors, and volunteers.
- Transport members to scheduled activities as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Two years’ experience in a role supervising staff and school-aged children in a group setting
- Demonstrated competence working with youth grades 6-8.
- Experience working with youth with special needs and/or requiring mental health services preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with high energy and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, specifically Microsoft Office suite
- Reliable transportation, safe driving record, active driver’s license, and automobile insurance
- Position may require standing/sitting for extended periods of time, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, bending at the waist, and ability to lift, carry, pull or otherwise move objects up to 20lbs.
