Nappanee Club- Teen Engagement Program Supervisor
Job Summary:
This position oversees all programming for youth grades 6th through 12th. The Teen Supervisor will plan and execute high-impact, outcome driven programs for the Teen Center including, but not limited to, college preparatory programs and entrepreneurial programs. The Teen Supervisor will oversee High School Coordinator and Middle School Coordinator in their duties.
This is a full time position. Schedule will be M-F, 11:30a-8pm.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees, implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided in the Teen Center with a strategic focus on building outcome-driven programs, and collecting measurable outcomes.
- Recruit, supervise, manage and support Teen Center staff, tutors, and volunteers.
- Lead BGCA programs including, but not limited to Keystone Club, Torch Club, and Youth of the Year.
- In partnership with Area Director, plan and execute high school graduation and college prep programming including 21st Century Scholars and college visits.
- Lead workforce readiness programming.
- Collaborate with community partners to identify and implement external programming.
- Create and execute engaging in-house events for teens such as dances, parties, conferences, etc.
- Establish member pipeline by maintaining a presence in High Schools and Middle Schools for events, lunches, recruiting, academic interventions, etc.
- Participate in community events to grow visibility of Teen Center and offerings.
- Transport members to scheduled activities as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years’ experience in a role supervising staff and school-aged children in a group setting
- Demonstrated competence working with youth grades 6-8.
- Experience working with youth with special needs and/or requiring mental health services preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with high energy and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, specifically Microsoft Office suite
- Reliable transportation, safe driving record, active driver’s license, and automobile insurance
- Position may require standing/sitting for extended periods of time, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, bending at the waist, and ability to lift, carry, pull or otherwise move objects up to 20lbs.
