Summer Seasonal Program Assistant
Job Summary:
This seasonal position supports the implementation of engaging summer programs and activities for youth ages 5-18. Programs will provide a fun, enriching environment that fosters positive identity, social and emotional growth, creativity, physical activity, and life skills. Activities will encourage community involvement, cultural awareness, and overall well-being while ensuring a safe and supportive summer experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering engaging, creative, and enriching summer programs that promote fun and learning.
- Ensure a safe and positive environment by reinforcing behavioral expectations and maintaining a clean, hazard-free space.
- Foster confidence and personal growth in youth by implementing Youth Development Strategies.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and trust among members.
- Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating strong character, integrity, and leadership.
- Build meaningful connections with youth, their families, and the community.
- Advocate for the needs and well-being of club members.
- Support program operations by completing administrative tasks as needed.Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated competence working with youth ages 5-12.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with high energy and strong interpersonal skills.
- Position may require standing/sitting for extended periods of time, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, bending at the waist, and ability to lift, carry, pull or otherwise move objects up to 20lbs.
