Job Details

• Ensure Parenting Class meets psychoeducational standards and ensure the safety of all participants
  • Ensure programs, services and activities adhere to BGCGG guidelines
  • Maintain complete and accurate records and comply with policy and legal regulations
  • Maintain clean and organized equipment and materials
• Effectively implement Parenting Courses based on needs of clients
• Effectively monitor and evaluate Parent Class and offer suggestions for improvement
• Ensure a productive work environment by working as a member of a team, contributing to team meetings and providing information to support decision making
• Utilize tracking databases to track clients
• Continuously develop knowledge and skills; manage time and resources effectively
• Build partnerships with participants, potential clients and vendors
• Increase the visibility of Courses and other BGCGG programs, services and activities
• Maintain good public relations by conducting regular outreach
• Maintain customer service satisfaction in order to maintain and expand client base
• Maintain close, weekly contact with staff, participants and supervisors to receive and provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines and instructions, instructs, advises and counsels

• Attend meetings and trainings as necessary
• Maintain contact as needed with external community groups
• Perform all other duties as assigned

• At least 19 years of age
• Associate’s degree or 60 college units completed
• Public speaking experience
• Bilingual capabilities in Spanish is mandatory
• Reliable transportation, safe driving record, CA driver license, 2 years of driving experience, and automobile insurance required

• Ability to uphold organization’s mission and values; ability to develop positive relationships and set appropriate boundaries
• Basic knowledge of group dynamics and youth development; awareness of classroom management and behavior strategies
• Ability to effectively use written, verbal, and non-verbal communication in small and large group settings
• Ability to adapt and be flexible; must be able to collaborate effectively and use resources effectively
• Ability to teach and check for understanding
• Ability to manage priorities and tasks including effective time management
• Ability to recognize potential issues and apply problem solving as needed
• Must have strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and rapport
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks including effective time management and attention to detail
• Must have sound judgment regarding safety
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, following up on phone calls, conducting meetings, completing reports, and tracking data; ability to recognize potential issues and apply problem solving

• Position may require standing/sitting for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate office equipment, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, bending at the waist; seeing to review and analyze reports, documents or other reports; hearing and speaking to communicate and provide information to others; speaking to be heard before groups of people; position may require to lift, carry, pull or otherwise move objects between 10-20 pounds
