Class: Non-Exempt, Part-Time
Hourly Rate: $25.00/hour
Hours: 5 hours/week; evening hours and flexible schedule
Location: Stanton Family Resource Center
Primary Function: Teach parenting classes to community members receiving services at Stanton Family Resource Center and maintain client files in VistaShare.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure Parenting Class meets psychoeducational standards and ensure the safety of all participants

Ensure programs, services and activities adhere to BGCGG guidelines
-
Maintain complete and accurate records and comply with policy and legal regulations
-
Maintain clean and organized equipment and materials
-

Effectively implement Parenting Courses based on needs of clients
-
Effectively monitor and evaluate Parent Class and offer suggestions for improvement
-
Ensure a productive work environment by working as a member of a team, contributing to team meetings and providing information to support decision making
-
Utilize tracking databases to track clients
-
Continuously develop knowledge and skills; manage time and resources effectively
-
Build partnerships with participants, potential clients and vendors
-
Increase the visibility of Courses and other BGCGG programs, services and activities
-
Maintain good public relations by conducting regular outreach
-
Maintain customer service satisfaction in order to maintain and expand client base
-
Maintain close, weekly contact with staff, participants and supervisors to receive and provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines and instructions, instructs, advises and counsels
Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Attend meetings and trainings as necessary

Maintain contact as needed with external community groups

Qualifications
Qualifications

At least 19 years of age
-
Associate’s degree or 60 college units completed
-
Public speaking experience
-
Bilingual capabilities in Spanish is mandatory
-
Reliable transportation, safe driving record, CA driver license, 2 years of driving experience, and automobile insurance required

Requirements

Position may require standing/sitting for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate office equipment, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, bending at the waist; seeing to review and analyze reports, documents or other reports; hearing and speaking to communicate and provide information to others; speaking to be heard before groups of people; position may require to lift, carry, pull or otherwise move objects between 10-20 pounds
