The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Counselors (Youth Development Professionals)! This is a temporary opportunity through August 9, perfect for those looking to gain hands-on experience in youth development while having fun and making a positive impact.

Position Details:
- Job Type: Temporary, Part-time
- End Date: August 9, 2024
- Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
- Hours: 10–20 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, between 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Wednesdays start at 12:30 PM)
- Location: Multiple sites, including Thousand Oaks (flexibility required)
What You’ll Do:
- Create a fun and engaging environment where kids feel safe and supported
- Lead and facilitate activities that promote learning, recreation, and social development
- Encourage positive behavior and teamwork among campers
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program experiences
- Be a positive role model, demonstrating respect, leadership, and integrity
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children in group settings (camps, schools, or after-school programs)
- Understanding of youth development principles (especially in elementary-aged children)
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) credits are a plus but not required
- Strong behavior management and leadership skills
- Reliable, flexible, and eager to learn
Requirements:
✔ Must pass a fingerprint background check & TB test
✔ TB clearance required before starting (renewed every four years)
✔ Reliable transportation to program locations
Must be 18 years or older
