Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley is seeking dedicated individuals for temporary Youth Development Professional positions til August 9. This role provides a unique opportunity to support the development and well-being of young individuals while fostering a dynamic and engaging environment.
In this position, you will gain practical, hands-on experience working with elementary-aged children. You’ll assist with activities, promote learning, and support their growth in an interactive and collaborative setting. Please note that this role requires the flexibility to support multiple sites, including our Thousand Oaks location.
Position Details:
Status Type: Temporary
Dates: end date August 9th
Pay Range: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 10–20 hours per week
Shifts: Between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Wednesday 12:30 pm
Schedule Flexibility:
Work schedules may vary based on attendance and staff availability. Flexibility is essential to ensure adequate program coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for club members.
Plan, manage, and implement engaging activities that promote learning, recreation, and social development.
Supervise and guide children, fostering positive behavior management and participation.
Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program operations.
Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating integrity and respect in all interactions.
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1–3 years of experience working with children in group settings.
Understanding of youth development principles, particularly in elementary school environments.
Early Childhood Education credits are a plus.
Proven ability in behavior management and group activity facilitation.
Reliable, flexible, and committed to ongoing learning and professional growth.
Important Notes:
All applicants must pass a mandatory fingerprint background check, TB test, and reference clearance. Resumes lacking relevant childcare experience or minimum qualifications will not be considered. TB clearance is required prior to employment, with renewal every four years.
