TITLE: Quality Assurance Coach: San Bernardino School Sites

REPORTS TO: Director of Program Services

SALARY RANGE: $30.00 Per Hour

POSTION STATUS: Full-time, Non-Exempt


WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as required with most site visits occurring during the delivery of before and after-school programs.

PRIMARY INTERFACES: Director of Program Services, Site Leads, CAPS: POC, School Principals, Youth Leads

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside (BGCGRR) has been proudly serving children and families since 1967. We are one of the premier non-profits in the Inland Empire. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Coach to lead a team of School Site Leads to consistently deliver high-quality before and after-school programming at each school site.

The Quality Assurance Coach plays a critical role in fulfilling the educational and contractual expectations set between BGCGRR and the contracted Unified School District.

This role oversees and manages daily programmatic execution across multiple school sites. This includes acquiring subject matter expertise on the programmatic expectations at each school and assessing each site team’s execution to meet said expectations.

Additional responsibilities include problem solving, and creating and following up on each site’s success plan.

The Quality Assurance Coach will complete final interviews, orientate and onboard new site leads and youth leaders with Onsite program expectations. Support the Site leads with training and development when new Youth leaders or Substitutes report to the site.

This leader will also ensure each site’s safety and compliance with all health and safety regulations adopted by local health authorities, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and the School District and build and maintain positive and effective relationships with leadership teams at each school site.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead teams of Site Leads and Youth Leaders.
  • Ensure delivery of programming that meets contractual expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations adopted by the local health authority, BCGA, BGCGRR and the School District.
  • Ensure proper staffing at each school each day
  • Observe and assess program delivery.
  • Problem-solve and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and praise.
  • Identify and support professional development opportunities for their teams.
  • Ensure staff are meeting essential job duties and safety criteria.
  • Plan and implement several staff trainings throughout the year.
  • Maintain accurate records and data-tracking methods.
  • Maintain effective partnership with the School District
  • Proactively seek ways to improve program delivery and implementation.
  • Responsible for tracking Key Performance Indicators for an after-school program
  • Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be a leader for and role model of the BGCGRR in the community we serve.
  • Participate in collaborative initiatives with the BGCGRR leadership team to meet organization-wide goals.
  • May be assigned special projects periodically by the Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives and Director of Program Services.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Quality Assurance Coach, Talent Acquisition Coordinators, Site Leads, Youth Leaders and other team members at BGCRR.

External: Expanded Learnings Program Staff, District Staff, School District Site Staff (Principals, Nutrition Services Staff, Office Staff, etc.), other key community partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required – High School Diploma or GED.
  • Required – Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or university (or commensurate after-school experience).
  • Required – Ability to pass Background Checks, Drug Screen, and Employment Physical.
  • Required – Valid State Driver’s License and Vehicle Insurance.
  • Required – Reliable transportation throughout the San Bernardino.
  • Required – First Aid/CPR Certification (we will train).
  • Required – Be available Monday-Friday

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

The ideal candidate knows or has prior experience in the following areas:

  • Managing teams.
  • Managing HR processes (interviewing, payroll/timesheet verification, etc.).
  • Managing School Site Onboarding processes (orientation, training, etc.).
  • Working effectively and collaboratively inside and outside of the organization

The ideal candidate has familiarity and/or the ability to quickly learn:

  • Microsoft Suite (including Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.).
  • Google Drive (including docs, sheets, forms, etc.).
  • Zoom/Teams.
  • ADP.
  • Virtual Engagement Platforms (such as Menti-Meter or similar)

This position will have a variety of working conditions, including:

  • Staffing Support/Administrative Work (approx. 30 to 35%),
  • Site visits assessments/meetings with the school district, etc. (approx. 65 to 70%),
  • Physical requirements include: sitting & standing for long periods, occasionally stooping and lifting up to a minimum of 25 lbs.

  • Contribute to environment of safety through the learning and implementation and monitoring of all safety-related best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote accountability to safety through consistent observation, adherence to all safety rules and practices and proactive communication among members, parents, peers, and leadership.
  • Obtain and maintain Mandated Reporter training and complete annual Child Abuse Prevention training.
  • Complete training and participate in all Emergency Preparedness protocols including drills and communication practices.
