Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson is looking for a vision leader to join our team. Our ideal candidate has a passion for working with youth, is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.
Title: Vision Leader
Reports to: Site Director
Primary Function: Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area.

- Professionally works with volunteers and members of the community.
Prepare Youth for Success
- Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes:
- Promote and stimulate program participation
- Participate in new member orientation process making them feel welcome and comfortable at the club
- Provide guidance and role modeling to members
Program Implementation
- Plan activities that Create a safe, positive environment, Generate fun and foster a sense of belonging, Encourage supportive relationships with peers and adults, Provide opportunities and set expectations and offer recognition.
- Implements Boys & Girls Clubs programs geared toward their specific area Healthy Habits, Learning Center, Computer lab, Gym, Games Room, Arts, Teen Center, Power Hour etc.
- Post and follow a weekly lesson plan.
- Develops culturally appropriate programs and activities
- Follows club disciplinary policies and procedures
- Provides various experiences and interactive activities
- Promotes activities that build youth’s esteem
- Clearly implements the BGCA mission and vision in daily practice
Supervision
- Be on time and ready to make a difference in a child’s life.
- Actively supervises while continually interacting with all members providing motivation and encouragement.
- Disciplines members fairly, consistently, and according to established policies and procedures.
- Ensure a productive work environment by participating in assigned staff meetings.
Communication
- Discusses discipline problems with supervisor.
- Discusses strategies with supervisor to deal with discipline problems.
- Clearly and effectively communicates to youth.
- Effectively communicates issues to supervisor, employees or other staff.
- Maintains Professional Conduct which includes but not limited to maintaining confidentiality, no gossiping, etc.
