What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parent Coordinator/Data Clerk - Tim Lee Club position at Boys & Girls Clubs Of Lanier, Inc.?
This is a Part-Time Position
Up to 29 hours a week

KEY ROLES and Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement programs and activities designed to engage families in improving student achievement.
- Plan programs in collaboration with staff, teachers, parent organizations, business-community partners, and the school principal.
- Design monthly activities to help families participate more effectively in improving their childrens learning, such as Family Reading Activities, ESL, Financial Planning, Math and Science trainings, and Career and College Planning events.
- Help families understand standards and assessments, student test scores, rubrics, and the school report card.
- Facilitate and organize parent meetings and workshops, and collaborate with BGCL staff, community members, partners, and families to reach underrepresented families.
- Develop and maintain monthly family contact logs and a monthly newsletter to keep parents informed of activities and resources, and document parent/community activities.
- Serve as a liaison between families and staff, arrange for translation services, communicate parent concerns, recruit parents for activities, submit monthly reports, and connect with community resources for families.
- Ensure club member applications are filled out completely and correctly, register members into an online system, and update current member files according to program schedules. Archive past membership files and start new ones as needed.
- Track daily attendance using TransAct database, keep the database up-to-date, and maintain a daily attendance record in Excel as a backup.
- Answer the phone and provide proper assistance as needed, assist with record-keeping for grant compliance, and perform clerical duties.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support the club's operations and programs.
High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelors in human services/welfare, preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of community social services organizations
Ability to communicate effectively with parents and community.
One year of office/clerical experience.
