The Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County (BGCLC) is a place for kids to laugh, learn, grow and belong. For more than 30 years, BGCLC has served the youth in Larimer County. As a Childcare Group Leader, you will:
- Always ensure the physical and emotional health and safety of Club members.
- Assist with the implementation of programs and activities.
- Foster and cultivate a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment for youth and staff always.
- Provide guidance and act as a role model/mentor to assure the conduct, safety, and development of all youth.
- Responsible for upholding behavior standards and consequences for youth throughout Club.
- Promote and stimulate program participation; while ensuring the five key elements for positive youth development occur daily: fun, supportive relationships, safe and positive environment, opportunities and expectations, and recognition.
- Help maintain facilities and equipment to ensure a productive and clean work environment, reporting significant issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain close professional contact with all staff members, supervisors, and volunteers.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with the school personnel.
- Adhere to all Boys & Girls Club’s standard safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with daily transportation routes (if necessary)
Assist with other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this variable hour, part time, non-exempt position is $18.00 per hour.
Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- 460 hours of childcare experience working with groups of four or more youth ages 5 - 12.
- Experience hours may be substituted with a completed 4 year degree in a relevant course of study such as recreation, outdoor education, elementary education or a subject in the human services field.
Other Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking is highly preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Candidates must be able to pass background check, and reference checks.
