Youth Development Professional-9th Grade to 12th Grades
Reports To: Senior Program Director, College, Career & Teen Programs
Salary Range: $18 per hour
Starts: February/March 2017
Job Description: This position is responsible for assisting with teen programming oversight and ensuring that teens are participating in programs offered and are engaged in a positive manner. Responsibilities also include program facilitation which may include: culinary, gym, workgroups, etc.
Qualifications: College graduate with experience/training in working with teens in either public/private schools, or after school programs. Must be able to follow directions, present programming and is dependable and reliable.
General Job functions:
- Prepares lessons to be conducted such as Culinary, Art, Gym or other programs they find beneficial to the department.
- Assists with departmental functions such as program facilitation, trips, social events, etc.
- Prepares and maintains the food program information for the department.
- Teen Staff are responsible for the following attitudes and personal qualities:
- Professionalism, enthusiasm, dependability and reliability.
- Sense of humor and implementation of an element of fun into program and daily activities.
Teen Staff are responsible for the following aspects of program delivery:
- Helping with program implementation.
- Helping with classroom organization and appearance.
- Attending necessary meetings/workshops both on and off site.
- Ensuring that the children are in a safe environment at all times.
- Communicating issues and problems to the Senior Program Director.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
