What are the responsibilities and job description for the 21st Century Site Coordinator position at Boys & Girls Clubs Of Metro ATL?
JOB SUMMARY:
Directs/manages overall daily operations of the 21st Century Grant at the Howard Warner Boys & Girls Club with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, parent engagement, community relations and membership administration. Oversees management of 21 st CCLC grant. This role is grant dependent and will be evaluated on an annual basis for continual funding.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Leadership
Establishes site programs, activities and services that prepare youth for success and that create a club environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
Ensures a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained and kept in good working order.
Ensures school sites are running efficiently and programs are fun and engaging for all members.
Ensures school sites are properly staffed at a 1:15 ratio.
Works with school staff and parents to ensure communication is clear and accurate.
Oversees the management of 21st CCLC grant deliverables, staffing, tutors, and lead teachers.
Works with school site principals ensuring all members and programs are fully engaged.
Coordinates bus schedules, program schedules, including overseeing data collection for Cayan and Kids Trax. Ensures all member files meet program expectations and are within 21 st CCLC grant protocol and BGCL protocol.
Leads preparation for files and 21 st CCLC audits ensuring weekly data is uploaded as required for Kids Trax and Cayan.
Plans program rotations and activities to reflect quarterly rotation, and ensures all programs and activities are world- class.
Strategic Planning
Plan, develop, implement and evaluate School Site overall programs, services and activities to ensure they meet stated objectives and member needs and interests. Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.
Partnership
Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations to help promote and offer exceptional programs for its location.
Work with vendors to recruit services for afterschool program.
Parent Engagement
Coordinate and implement programs and activities designed to engage families in improving student achievement. Ensures all program activities are documented and reported, provide superior customer service to internal and external members and support BGCMA policies and procedures.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and /or equivalent combination of education an experience preferred.
Experience
Minimum of three years work experience in a Boys and Girls Clubs or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the development needs of young people, or equivalent experience.
Skills
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to interpret data and collect data
ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal internal office environment with frequent travel to clubs and off-site meeting locations. Occasional evening work. Frequent contact with general public, board members, leadership team, finance, and development departments.
