TITLE: Nutrition Data Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Finance
REPORTS TO: Director of Compliance/Nutrition Services
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-Exempt
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Occasional Nights/ Weekends)
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Nutrition Data Analyst is part of the nutrition services team, focusing on promoting healthy living habits for children. This role involves assisting with the meal service program, the Team Up program during the school year, and the Summer Lunch program during school breaks. The primary responsibilities related to the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) Child Care Food Program (CCFP) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Summer BreakSpot include the following:
- Ensures accurate compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations with all meal programs.
- Collect meal and snack sheets daily from assigned sites and accurately enter the data into the nutrition team share document
- Correct any sheet issue by urgently contacting the site via email and phone call to update any data issues
- Work quarterly with the manager to establish annual goals in the ADP system to ensure employees stay on target to meet or exceed set goals
- Ability to think outside the box to find new ways to improve the system to accurately capture data so onto billing process stays on target
- Travels to various locations to ensure all meal programs are operating effectively and to new site locations to conduct pre-operational site visits.
- Assists in the start-up process for all meal programs to ensure all sites are trained and have the required documentation to be approved by the state for operation.
- Collects and organizes required documents for each site during the CCFP and Summer BreakSpot program and creates and maintains spreadsheets for meal programs to aid in daily operations.
- Conducts nutrition education at various sites, and participates in health fairs/exhibits and other nutrition education.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Four (4) years of education and/or experience in similar work is required. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Must pass a Level 2 background screening before employment.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
- A valid driver's license is required before appointment and must be maintained during employment in this class. Must qualify for prior to appointment, obtain, and maintain during employment in this class a City of Jacksonville Certification as a Public Driver.
