Primary Function
Planning and conducting a well-rounded program in youth development by implementing Project Based Learning activities that enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, acquire 21st century skills and apply learning to everyday situations.

The Clubs provide more than a safe, fun and constructive alternative to being home alone -they offer a variety of award-winning developmental programs to help youth build skills, self-esteem and values during critical periods of growth. The twenty Boys & Girls Clubs throughout Palm Beach County serve more than 10,000 children ages 6-18. Key Roles (Essential Responsibilities)
- Ensures the success and operation of the 21st Century Community Learning Center educational program at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.
- Maintains consistent communication with supervisor related to the 21stCCLC program.
- Stimulates and encourages interest in education and career development activities and encourages participation by all members.
- Requests needed supplies using the Purchase Order form.
- Collects report cards at the end of grading period and delivers to supervisor.
- Maintains a system on internal evaluation including individual student records, report card grades, attendance and progress.
- Creates and maintains Project Based Learning curriculum/lesson plans.
- Administers 21st CCLC projects to participating members.
- Participates during 21st CCLC staff meetings.
- Enforces Boys & Girls Clubs rules and program guidelines
- Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer) Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
- External: Maintain contact and build relationships with community groups, schools external staff and volunteers, donors and others to recruit or to assist in resolving challenges.
- BA/BS Degree from an accredited, four year university or college in a field related to education.
- Must have a valid Florida Teaching Certificate.
- Experience with Project Based Learning.
- Willingness to think outside the box; very energetic; a motivator.
- Excellent verbal and written communication & computer skills (Microsoft Word required).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines with severe time constraints.
