What are the responsibilities and job description for the BRANCH DIRECTOR (Mays Family Clubhouse) position at Boys & Girls Clubs Of San Antonio?
The Branch Director is directly responsible for overseeing operations and programs for a Clubhouse to include facilities and budget management, staff development, and the supervision of the assigned staff and program volunteers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with executive leadership and staff to design a cohesive and comprehensive youth development program for youth ages six through eighteen utilizing the resources of BGCSA.
- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate overall programs, services and activities to meet stated objectives and member needs.
- Compile regular reports reflecting overall program participation and daily attendance. This includes the use of our membership tracking system.
- Coordinate, plan and execute special events as needed.
- Develop relationships with feeder school administrators to ensure adequate recruitment for the school year and summer projections.
- Conduct community outreach to include coordinating and hosting informational sessions for students, parents, and community members and distributing marketing materials in the surrounding communities.
- Foster relationships among local schools, universities, businesses, and other community youth and other educational programs.
- Ensure all program-specific grant outputs and outcomes are met.
- Responsible for the recruitment, selection, development, and evaluation of branch staff.
- Schedule use of club facilities internally and outside groups that meet eligibility requirements; when applicable.
- Establish, maintain and supervise a well-organized, clean and safe environment conducive to productive youth development, learning, and working environment.
- Works directly with administrative staff to assist with: budget planning, fundraising, and fiscal management of the Branch.
- Maintain an inventory of all relevant program equipment and supplies and ensure they are in good working order. This includes purchasing supplies and equipment for the Branch in accordance with organizational policies and guidelines and operating the Branch within the approved budget.
- Supervise and maintain BGCSA vehicles in accordance with outlined fleet policies and procedures.
- Maintain and operate the Branch in accordance with the standards and policies of the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Education, or Social Sciences, preferred and four years of work experience in a youth development setting with at least two years of management experience.
- Must be at least 23 years or older
- Must possess good character, have a sense of humor, and a pleasing personality.
- Must have a sincere interest in children, maturity, self-control, and sound judgment.
- Must know about positive youth development and positive behavior management skills.
- Must have the energy, initiative, and ability to get things done within specific time frames.
- Possess record-keeping skills.
- Possess skills for communicating clearly and knowledgeably.
- Possess and demonstrate the ability to function objectively and fairly in all aspects, including discipline.
- Must have a Class C Motor Vehicle License or equivalent, an acceptable driving record, and a willingness to acquire a Class B Motor Vehicle License.
