General Purpose
Under the supervision and guidance of the Athletic Coordinator, the Youth Basketball Referee is responsible for officiating youth basketball games for Boys & Girls Clubs Sonoma – Marin.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Must have familiarity with the rules of basketball
Be able to communicate with Coaches to get games started promptly
Ability to run for extended amounts of time
Must be able to communicate schedule conflicts with supervisor
Able to remain calm in a stressful competitive atmosphere
Display strong “on court” presence
Be confident in verbal and hand gesture calls
Requirements
Requirements:
Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
Ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills. Ability to jog, run, stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Ability to climb, push, and pull.
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
