What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver with CDL - Seasonal position at Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas?
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To safely transport and monitor Club members while in route from school to Club and while on Seasonal Field Trips.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
- Follows specific regularly scheduled pick-ups
- Assists members in boarding and exiting vehicle.
- Prior to operating vehicle, inspects exterior and interior of vehicle at beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior courtesy lamps, air conditioning or heating, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers, vehicle damage, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring inside and outside of vehicle are properly cleaned and fueled on an ongoing basis.
- Keeps interior of vehicle neat and orderly.
- Treats all members in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
- May be required to implement and administer programs, services and activities for members after driving responsibilities have been met.
- Assume other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/ instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
External: Maintains contact with members, families and the general public to be good citizens of the road.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Must possess a valid CDL B drivers license with a passenger endorsement.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organization and attention to detail
- Strong customer relations skills
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality
