Reports to: Club Executive Director
Position Summary:
The Athletic Director oversees the strategic development and execution of BGCSM’s athletic programs, ensuring high-quality sports clinics, leagues, and events that align with BGCSM’s mission. This role manages volunteer coaches, program partners, and community engagement efforts to enhance youth sports participation and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development & Management:
- Support the 3-C Sports department in league planning and implementation.
- Develop and oversee strategic goals, performance metrics, and programming for athletic activities, including clinics, leagues, and special events.
- Recruit and manage youth for teams, ensuring inclusive and engaging participation.
- Track participation and utilize My Club Hub for enrollment and program evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with all athletic regulations, policies, and safety standards.
- Coordinate scheduling for events, practices, and facility usage.
- Volunteer & Staff Coordination:
- Recruit, train, and manage coaches and sports volunteers, ensuring adherence to BGCSM's safety policies and procedures.
- Develop partnerships with community organizations to expand program reach and impact.
- Community Engagement & Outreach:
- Cultivate relationships with parents, alumni, donors, and key stakeholders to support athletic initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison with external organizations and governing bodies.
- Assist with special events and outreach initiatives to enhance program visibility and engagement.
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Oversee program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Maintain facilities and equipment to ensure safety and quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in sports management, education, or related field preferred.
- Two years experience in athletic program coordination and community engagement.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Passion for youth development and commitment to BGCSM’s mission.
