Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Position Overview:
BGCSM is seeking a part time, 30 hours per week, LCSW to join its team. This position will assist clubhouse staff in delivering social and emotional support services. This role is designed to support club members and staff by applying trauma- and resilience-informed approaches and enhance our members social-emotional wellbeing.

- Auburn – 43 2nd St. Auburn, ME
- Portland -277 Cumberland Ave. Portland, ME
- South Portland – 169 Broadway South Portland, ME
This position is contracted and funded via the SAMSHA grant through 9/30/25
Responsibilities
- Work with Clubhouse Unit Director to add social emotional learning opportunities to existing BGCSM programs.
- Support community partners to deliver comprehensive mental health services and support within the BGCSM environment.
- Provide direct, in the moment, clinical support to club members, addressing emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
- Mentor social work interns from local colleges and universities.
- Deliver training sessions on trauma-informed practices to enhance staff ability to support club members and improve professional well-being.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the Director of Social and Emotional Support Services and assist in recommendations for procedural changes to support a trauma-informed environment, in collaboration with clubhouse leadership.
- Collect data and report per SAMSHA grant requirements.
Qualifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent licensure in the state of Maine.
- Proven experience in providing clinical services to children, adolescents, and families.
- Experience working with clients from various socio-economic backgrounds
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and resilience-building strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Experience in delivering training and technical assistance to staff.
Compensation and Benefits:
- 30 hrs. per week, benefit eligible
- $52,500 annually – per grant requirements.
- Generous PTO package including 17 days PTO, 5 days Maine Earned Paid Leave and 12 Holidays – prorated based on hours worked.

Working Conditions:
- Part-time, hourly position with on-site responsibilities at designated BGCSM clubhouse.
- Occasional travel between clubhouses may be required.
- Monday - Friday 12p-6p; Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate the needs of club members and staff.
- May be required to stand or sit at least 4 hours per day.
- May be required to use a computer for at least 4 hours per day.
