Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Program Director, A youth Development Professional is responsible for ensuring the safety and supervision of youth while promoting the 5 key elements of youth development:
- Build a Safe, Positive Environment

- Offer Opportunities & Set Expectations
- Provide Recognition
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with youth in a guidance-oriented atmosphere required
- Missouri Class E Driver’s License preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and/or implementing local and national programs for Club members ages 5-18.
- Together with Program Director, requisition materials and supplies needed for effective program delivery.
- Demonstrate understanding of trauma-informed classroom management and maintain an environment that promotes equity and inclusion for all members to enhance member experience and promote a sense of belonging.
- Implements fair and consistent behavioral support measures to promote a safe and positive environment for youth.
- May serve on and collaborate with internal Cohorts or volunteer for BGCS events.
- Maintain cleanliness of area, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, glass-cleaning, sanitizing of surfaces, etc.

Physical Requirements:
Percentage of Work Spent on Activity: 0-24%, 25-49%, 50-74%, 75-100%
- Seeing: (75-100%) Must be able to see well enough to see computer and calculator screens and read documents and reports. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have 20/20 vision (with or without correction).
- Hearing: (50-74%) Must be able to hear well enough to effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and coworkers.
- Sitting: (50-74%) Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate vehicles.
- Standing/Walking: (50-74%) Must have the ability to move about the work site.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: (25-49%) Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up paper products or materials.
- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: (0-24%) Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Grasping/Feeling: (75-100%) Must be able to grasp and use computer equipment, including keyboard, mouse, and calculator. Must be able to drive.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often in a clean, non-smoking, heated and cooled office environment. The employee will also frequently be indoors or in a vehicle, but may also be outdoors with exposure to dust, pollen, and outside temperature and weather extremes associated with the region. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
