Summary:
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana Corridor is responsible for ensuring the successful operation of the club and achieving organizational goals. They provide leadership, oversee program execution, and maintain effective relationships with staff, Club members, parents, volunteers, community partners, and other key stakeholders. The Club Director is expected to uphold the core values and organizational expectations of the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Indiana Corridor. This person will also be key in assisting as an implementation specialist in activating new, nearby sites. Specifically, this Club Director will play a major role in training and onboarding efforts for outer county sites, both training of new employees as well as ongoing training efforts. This will entail becoming tier 1 and 2 training certified. Finally, this role will assist the Area Director with marketing, social media, fundraising, and community engagement efforts in White County & surrounding areas.
BGCNIC serves 3,000 children ages five to 18 at 35 sites across north central Indiana through summer and before and after-care programming, with a strong focus on social and emotional learning, college and workforce readiness, and academic enrichment to ensure every child has a chance to meet his or her potential.
Essential Functions:
Administration:
  • Input daily attendance accurately utilizing ProCare and ensuring its accuracy.
  • Manage site rosters, notifying operations of new enrollments, withdrawals, and updates of current members.
  • Complete Incident, Accident, and Behavior reports and keep copies on-site in a binder for quarterly review.
  • Approve timecards in Paycor by noon on the Monday preceding the payday.
  • Keep records of "call-offs" and "no-shows" for all Youth Development Professionals (YDPs).
Leadership:
  • Model all Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Indiana Corridor (BGCNIC) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all YDPs and volunteers follow BGCNIC and policies and procedures.
  • Attend Club Director Meetings.
  • Be present and engaged with club members and staff during club hours.
  • Document coaching and corrective action for YDPs.
  • Lead daily huddles before and after Club.
  • Prepare agendas for monthly meetings with YDPs.
  • Eliminate barriers, provide feedback, and inspire confidence among peers, partners, and clients.
  • Be visible to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate that learning and continuous growth are valued.
Fundraising
  • Assist with all efforts to help us improve impact, reach, and sustainability goals.
  • Help plan and execute strategies that will improve our financial standing.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with different stakeholders that can help draw dollars into the Club.
Student Engagement:
  • Set and display clear expectations and boundaries for members.
  • Create an environment for all students to be engaged in activities.
  • Acknowledge and recognize students for good behavior.
  • Provide appropriate corrective action for behavior that does not meet expectations according to the BGCNIC Code of Conduct.
Program Execution:
  • Execute programming, emphasizing Math, Literacy, Emotional Wellbeing, and workforce readiness.
  • During office hours, prepare for the day by planning programming, gathering supplies, and completing administrative tasks.
  • Follow the daily schedule with appropriate activities that align with the curriculum.
  • Assign volunteers meaningful tasks that fit their expectations and skills.
Communication:
  • Execute programming, emphasizing Math, Literacy, Emotional Wellbeing, and workforce readiness.
  • During office hours, prepare for the day by planning programming, gathering supplies, and completing administrative tasks.
  • Follow the daily schedule with appropriate activities that align with the curriculum.
  • Assign volunteers meaningful tasks that fit their expectations and skills.
  • Assist with social media and other marketing activities in order to enhance the BGC brand and communication efforts with key stakeholders and the public at large.
Effective Relationships:
  • Inform Area Director within 24 hours of any significant issues related to property damage, member suspensions, CPS reports, or parent concerns.
  • Welcome and accommodate partners who deliver programming.
  • Assign volunteers meaningful tasks that fit their expectations and skills.
  • Effectively manage staff.
  • Respond to the administrative team in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Assist Area Director with establishing and maintaining positive relationships with the local community in support of all community engagement efforts.
Teamwork:
  • Collaborate effectively across teams and invite input from peers.
  • Come to the table with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Ensure team members, partners, and clients feel valued in all interactions.
Knowledge & Productivity:
  • Share best practices frequently with peers and across teams.
  • Share content expertise and make it accessible to colleagues, partners, and clients.
  • Maintain and improve role expertise through regular development opportunities.
  • Expect and achieve high performance.
Training & Onboarding:
  • Assist with all training and onboarding efforts for White County and surrounding areas, both for new employees and for ongoing developmental opportunities.
  • Become tier 1 & 2 certified and monitor staff’s adherence to BGCA training requirements.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for enhancement of training efforts.
  • Facilitate in-person sessions in support of overall training and development plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Youth Development, Social Work) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervision role within a youth-focused organization required.
  • Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proficient in program planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software applications (e.g., ProCare, Paycor).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Strong emphasis on solution-based thinking, positivity, and ability to execute. Team player who is ethical, transparent in communication, and treats colleagues, Club members, and their families with the highest level of respect. Must be able to pass any and all required background screens and drug screens at any time.
Salary Range:
$42,000 - $44,000
