Position Overview:
The Site Coordinator for the Club at Colonial Park will oversee the 65 child capacity program for before and after school programs during the school year. During the summer, the Site Coordinator will oversee operations at Camp Wakefield.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm

As part of the Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham & Wakefield leadership team, you will help ensure the care, safety, and well-being of elementary-aged children through on-site supervision, staff management, and consistent and effective communication while overseeing a daily schedule of engaging activities.
On a regular day, you will provide supportive coaching and guidance to staff and members, ensure licensed childcare compliance, carry out administrative duties, maintain the site space and program resources, and build strong relationships with peers and members. In addition, as a year-round position, during the summer season, Site Coordinators play a pivotal role in providing leadership to day camp programming.
Key Responsibilities:
Regular tasks From September- June:
- Understand and ensure adherence to EEC regulations as well as Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield's policies are maintained at all times.
- Plan, develop, and implement a curriculum and program schedule that allow participants to try new things, hone their skills and build lasting relationships.
- Be a supportive, empathetic leader to the staff team; coach them when needed and make their voices feel heard.
- Manage staff scheduling, payroll time sheets and payment collection.
- Complete necessary documentation, including accident reports, incident reports, Club Member attendance records, fire drill logs, snack schedules, etc.
- Show what true leadership in youth development looks like by consistently reflecting the values of the organization.
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with the Director.
- Monitor facility and program supply needs; communicate needs to appropriate staff
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe program space.
- Attend at least 20 hours of EEC mandated training/professional development annually.
- Complying with Boys & Girls Clubs of America standards.
- Maintain children's files.
- Maintain staff files.
- Log 2 hours of monthly EEC required staff meeting
- Complete bimonthly staff observations
- Maintain relationships with community partners and key stakeholders.
- Assist in additional duties assigned.
Tasks from July- August as summer leader:
- Help oversee the day-to-day operations of summer programming.
- Participate in staff hiring and onboarding, including an interactive staff training.
- Plan and execute a fun curriculum, geared to engage our campers in new experiences and skill honing.
- Ensure all safety protocols are met daily, in accordance with standards set by the MA Department of Public Health.
- Coach and mentor staff to bring the best of themselves to camp each day.
Qualifications

- Must be at least 20 years old
- High school diploma required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
- Must meet EEC qualifications of a Site Coordinator and have a minimum of 1 year of previous experience working with school aged children in a program setting
- Knowledge of EEC regulations pertaining to after school programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be reliable, resourceful and dependable.
- Have good organizational skills and an ability to multitask.
- Computer skills to include Google Suite.
Organization-wide responsibilities:
Works within legal, regulatory, accreditation and ethical practice standards relevant to the position and as established by the Boys & Girls Club; follows safe practices required for the position; complies with appropriate BGC policies and procedures; fulfills any training required by BGC, as appropriate; brings potential matters of non-compliance to the attention of the supervisor or other appropriate BGC staff.
