JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Membership Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Site Director
STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Manage daily intake operations of the club and interact with members, parents/guardians, and visitors. This individual will greet and check-in all members, ensure safety through visitor screening, answer phone calls, and input member data into our management system.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Including, but not limited to):
· Create an environment that facilitates positive youth development: promote and encourage program participation; use positive youth development techniques; provide guidance and role modeling to members; participate in programs interacting with youth
· Process all members as they arrive and leave the building, using the member tracking system.
· Process visitors and volunteers as they arrive and leave the building, using the volunteer tracking system.
· Greet all visitors, members, and parents/guardians as they enter the building and provide information as needed.
· Ensure member safety and security.
· Enter and maintain up-to-date registration information for all members, including emergency contacts, family, and health information.
· Answer telephone and take messages as needed.
· Collect fees and process payments, providing completed receipt.
· Ensure Club families are current with their membership fees and arrange payment plans as needed.
· Manage donation intake and track donation data.
· Record program participation and attendance in the member tracking system.
· Assist with driving when necessary.
· Attend monthly staff meetings.
· May participate in special programs and/or events.
· Ensure member and family confidentiality.
· Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Club Director.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
· High School Diploma or GED
· Strong verbal skills, ability to speak clearly and professionally.
· Effective interpersonal skills particularly with youth and adolescents.
· Ability to communicate effectively with parents, community leaders, educators, administrators, donors, other staff, and volunteers.
· Understands and demonstrates sensitivity to the diversity of cultures and backgrounds within the Boys & Girls Club environment
· Problem solving leadership skills.
· Moderate computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
· Ability to earn mandatory CPR and first aid certification.
· Ability to pass all mandatory checks including criminal records and background.
· Valid driver’s license and clear driving record that will meet insurance carrier requirements.
