POSITION TITLE: VP of Regional Services

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Offices

SALARY/FLSA STATUS: Exempt, Full Time


ORGANIZATION MISSION:

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast and Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay is to provide high-quality, out-of-school Club experiences to ensure our young people, especially those who need us most, are on track to graduate from high school with a plan for their future, demonstrate good character & citizenship, and live a healthy lifestyle.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The VP of Regional Services will oversee the operations of multiple Clubs and their respective Club Directors, ensuring all activities meet organizational goals, grant requirements, and deliverables. The role is focused on developing and implementing high-quality, outcome-driven programs that enhance the overall Club experience and drive service excellence. The VP will lead a region of Clubs to achieve exceptional youth development outcomes, foster a culture of staff development, and ensure safety, compliance, and strong community relations.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic and dynamic leader with excellent organizational skills and a strong passion for developing and executing impactful programs that drive measurable results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Program Development & Implementation: Lead the creation, execution, and evaluation of innovative programs that drive member engagement, satisfaction, and measurable outcomes.
  • Staff Supervision & Development: Provide direction, support, and professional development for Club Directors and staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and growth.
  • Club Safety & Compliance: Ensure all Clubs operate in a safe and secure environment, adhering to safety Club & child standards and compliance requirements, while addressing any safety or operational concerns promptly.
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise the day-to-day operations of Clubs, ensuring effective budget management, facilities maintenance, membership administration, and operational excellence.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets ensuring efficient use of funds to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, agencies, and stakeholders, representing the organization and advocating for its mission and programs.
  • Fundraising & Stakeholder Engagement: Occasionally assist with fundraising efforts and engage with local boards to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective communication of organizational priorities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to Club Directors, ensuring Clubs meet operational and programmatic goals.
  • Ensure Clubs maintain a positive, safe, and engaging environment conducive to youth development, focusing on cleanliness, safety, and the condition of facilities.
  • Collaborate with leadership on the development and implementation of program objectives and annual plans for each Club.
  • Conduct ongoing program assessments and analysis to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Supervise performance management processes for Club staff, including coaching, evaluations, and accountability to support their professional growth and retention.
  • Assist with the development and oversight of program budgets, including special projects, ensuring efficient financial management.
  • Oversee administrative and operational systems, including facilities management and coordination with external groups utilizing the facilities.
  • Support collaborative partnerships with public, civic, and social agencies to expand the impact and reach of the Clubs.
  • Ensure all Clubs are in compliance with Club and child safety standards, reporting requirements, and documentation processes.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to provide ongoing professional development opportunities and manage recruitment and retention efforts for key staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit or youth operations management, including staff leadership, budgeting, and program development.
  • Extensive knowledge of Boys & Girls Clubs’ mission, policies, and operational standards, as well as principles and best practices in nonprofit management.
  • Proven track record in leading multifaceted operations, with an emphasis on staff development, safety, and program outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with staff, community partners, and other agencies.
  • Experience managing operational compliance, safety, and risk management across multiple locations.
  • Child Care Licensing credentials (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • CPR & First Aid Certifications (required).
  • Valid Florida state driver’s license; eligible to drive Club vehicles per insurance guidelines and able to obtain a CDL within 6 months.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel will be required to various Club facilities across the region for staff support, training, and other business-related purposes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment varies. Flexibility to working schedules may be required due to changing needs. Hybrid schedule available. Some meetings will be in Pinellas County, travel to surrounding counties
