Site Coordinator - Boys and Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley

**Must be available Monday - Friday from 11 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. for our after-school program.** Summer Hours differ, and occasional non-school days, training opportunities and Friday evenings provide different/additional hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide a fun, positive and safe place for kids. The basic duties of a Site Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley are to maintain the front desk, phones and membership records, provide quality customer service and most importantly, ensure the safety of Club members by following and overseeing the implementation of Club policies and procedures. This position communicates daily with parents/guardians, Club members grades K-5, donors, vendors, board members, school officials, and other community partners. Must maintain a friendly, professional and cooperative attitude and be able to create a harmonious environment in difficult situations. This position also serves as the Lead Youth Development Professional at this site, supervising children, other Youth Development Professionals and programming, while promoting safety of members, quality of programs, and appearance of the Club at all times.

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:

The primary responsibility of all persons assigned to this job title is to support the mission of the Club and to promote positive child andcustomer relations. Under the direction of the Area Director, Operations Director and the Director of Program Quality, the Site Coordinator/Member Services assists in planning, organizing, supervising and implementing Club programs and safety; and manages the front desk operations of the after-school and summer programs.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley is to provide year-round positive, fun and safe places for all youth, helping them build self-esteem and develop skills necessary to make right choices, becoming responsible and productive citizens.

Pay is dependent upon experience, starting @ $16.50 per/hour

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education equivalent to completion of a Bachelor ‘s Degree in related field and at least 2 years in directly related experience.
  • Work experience in a youth development organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of teens in a leadership role.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
  • Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities. Evidence of collaboration with outside entities.
  • 25 years old per Club policy to drive Club bus for field trips and activities
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test.
  • Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record and willingness to obtain drive certificate for passenger vans and buses, and/or CDL (bus endorsement).
  • Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications within 90 days of employment
  • Professional appearance and an enthusiastic attitude

MEMBERSHIP SERVICES/LEAD PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Ensures membership data is recorded and organized in a timely, accurate manner
  • Check members in and out daily; ensuring the safety of all members while at the Club.
  • Takes payments for accounts and records them on the cash sheet.
  • Answers phone calls and helps with any and all Club questions.
  • Helps handle guidance / discipline issues.
  • Administers minor first aid when needed.
  • Assists in USDA during meal time (tracking and recording, Counting meals, oversee children while eating)
  • Helps with cleaning at end of day (wipes tables, sweeping, mopping, trashes, etc.)
  • Balance cash sheet and turn into Area Director.
  • Clean desk area (disinfect, sweep, and mop area).
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings.
  • Help plan and run Family Nights when scheduled.
  • Help with all Fundraiser functions.
  • Ensure the safety of Club members and staff at all times
  • Help plan, organize and implement youth development programs and activities
  • Assist in supervising staff and volunteers
  • Help handle customer service and conflict resolution situations
  • Supervise children in grades K-12
  • Communicate clearly with good oral and written communication skills
  • Actively participate as a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs Leadership Team
  • Serve as supervisor to Club staff at designated Club site
  • Supervise overall safety of the programs including ensuring excellent service
  • Ensure the safety of the members, staff members, volunteers, visitors, and facility.

ASSIST AREA DIRECTOR:

  • Assist in the annual written analysis of program needs with input from Club staff and key volunteers.
  • Assist in development of programs, activities and special events which are consistent with the analysis, with goals and objectives
  • Create and evaluate annual membership goals.
  • Regularly report on program activities and participation.
  • Compile data for grant reporting and complete grant reports as required
  • Assist in evaluating programs seasonally and annually.
  • Assure that all Club staff and volunteers administer member guidance and recognition.
  • Help Manage the supervision and evaluation of program staff
  • Follow and assure that Personnel policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Address staff and volunteer development needs.
  • Assess staff and volunteer performance to provide feedback
  • Assist Program Director with monthly and seasonal program staff trainings.
  • Communicate regularly with the Program Director and Director of Operations.
