We’re looking for a reliable Driver to safely transport children to and from programs and activities with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire. If you’re passionate about making an impact and love working with kids, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do:
- Work Full Time: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This is a temporary position, with the 12-week program running from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM at our Sioux Falls, Brandon, and Harrisburg Elementary Schools.
- Transport: Safely drive children to and from various Boys & Girls Clubs programs and activities while complying with traffic laws.
- Inspect: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good operating condition.
- Ensure Safety: Maintain the safety and order of children on the vehicle, report any incidents, assist with escorting children across streets or into buildings, and verify that all students are accounted for. Additionally, support ratio requirements and engage with children as needed, helping wherever necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license and a minimum age of 21; CDL and passenger endorsement are preferred but not required.
- Experience: Previous experience transporting children or similar roles is a plus.
- Communication, Teamwork & Reliability: Strong communication skills, time management, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Screening Process: Job offers are contingent upon a post-offer screening, which may include, but is not limited to, background checks, child abuse and neglect screenings, drug tests, and driving history reviews.
