What You’ll Do:
- Engage and Inspire: Help plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities (games, crafts, sports, etc.) while promoting social skills, teamwork, and inclusion. Supervise field trips and events to ensure student safety and engagement.
- Collaborate and Mentor: Work with a dynamic team to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports students’ personal and academic growth. Serve as a role model and help students set and achieve goals.
- Ensure Safety and Communication: Respond to student needs, maintain safety, and track progress. Build relationships with parents and foster strong connections with local schools to support a thriving community.
What We’re Looking For:
We have great trainers who will teach you everything you need to know, but here are a few things we look for in our Youth Development Specialists:
- Communication & Reliability: Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with youth and families, along with reliability and punctuality to ensure consistent programming and student care.
- Education & Experience: Previous experience or education in a related field is helpful but not required. CPR certification is required; however, we provide this training in-house if you are not currently certified.
- Screening Process: Job offers are contingent upon a post-offer screening, which includes, but is not limited to, background checks, child abuse and neglect screening, and drug test.
