Job Overview
The Youth Development Professional plays a vital role in fostering the growth and development of young individuals through engaging programs and activities. This position involves working closely with children and adolescents to provide educational support, mentorship, and guidance in a safe and nurturing environment. Duties
- Facilitate educational programs that promote childhood development and learning. (art, gym, computer lab, STEM lab)
- Organize and lead recreational activities, including sports coaching and camp events.
- Provide support in daycare settings, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Work collaboratively with students to enhance their social skills and emotional well-being.
- Implement special education strategies for children with diverse learning needs.
- Develop positive relationships with students, fostering trust and open communication.
- Assist in planning and executing community outreach programs aimed at youth engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation in various activities.
- Creating supply list and managing inventory of supplies in a program area.
Requirements
- Experience working with students in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
- Background in special education or Christian counseling is a plus.
- Skills in sports coaching or recreational leadership are highly valued.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation from all youth.
