What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Professional -School-aged Childcare Leader - Before/After School position at Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick?
Responsible for helping in directing/manages overall daily operations of the before & after school & Summer Camp Programs with the primary concern for BGCW programs and service delivery, supervision of staff and members.
This position is for five days per week (Mon-Fri) . About 20-35 hours per week, 7am-9am & 1:30pm -6pm (with additional hours available ) direct service with youth. Responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a broad range of recreational, team building programs & activities.
Requirements KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have at least 1 year prior experience working with youth (ages 5-13) .
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
Preferred: Degree or working towards a degree in Youth Development, Administration, Social Work, Education, etc.
Chauffeurs license a plus or need to obtain a chauffeur's license for transporting members to and from school and assisting on field trips.
Must be able to pass employee screening, which includes national fingerprint check, drug screen, etc.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
