The role of a Front Desk Assistant at the Boys & Girls Club involves several key responsibilities. These include checking in and checking out members, organizing paperwork, greeting parents, and providing support to the Clubhouse Director. This position is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of the Club and creating a positive experience for members and their families.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and organizational skills and work well in a team environment. Responsibilities encompass managing member registrations, maintaining accurate records, and responding to inquiries from parents and members. Additionally, the Front Desk staff member is expected to foster a welcoming and safe environment for everyone who enters the Club. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
Job Status: Part-Time
School Year - Monday- Friday 2:00pm-8:00pm ( Some Flexibility )
Summer - Monday - Friday - 8 hour shift
Pay Range:
- Starting at $14.45- $16.00 per hour, depending on experience
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Member Check-In/Check-Out: Facilitate a welcoming and efficient check-in and check-out process for all members, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
Organize Paperwork: Manage and organize all necessary paperwork related to member registrations, attendance, and inquiries to maintain a smooth operation.
Customer Service: Greet parents and members with a positive attitude, addressing inquiries and providing information about programs and services offered at the Club.
Support Clubhouse Director: Assist the Clubhouse Director with daily operations, administrative tasks, and any special events or activities as needed.
Create a Safe Environment: Foster a welcoming, safe, and engaging atmosphere for all members, promoting positive interactions among youth and staff.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow staff members to enhance the overall experience for members and support program offerings.
Handle Inquiries: Address questions or concerns from parents and members promptly and effectively, ensuring a high level of customer service.
Participate in Training: Attend required training sessions to enhance knowledge in youth development and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
• High School diploma or GED & currently working to complete a two or four-year degree.
• Experience in working with children.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
• Valid State Drivers License
Candidates must be able to pass Criminal Background Check & Drug Test
Training
- Boys & Girls Club Basics & Safety 101 to be completed the first week of hire
- 30 Day - Complete the Milestone 1 trainings
- 60 Day - Complete Milestone 2 trainings
- Attend Monthly trainings for positive youth development
