After-School and Summer Youth Program Specialist Job Description
Job Type: Part-time, Must be 18 or older to apply
Pay: $14-$16/ hourly
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
Our Club is looking for energetic, fun, and motivated individuals to join our team as part-time Youth Program Specialists! Candidates should be ready to take an active role in creating a supportive and fun atmosphere inside the Boys & Girls Club by building positive relationships with our members, facilitating daily activities, and ensuring an optimal Club experience for all.
After-School Hours (September – June):
Monday – Friday, 3PM – 7PM
Summer Hours (June – August):
Monday – Friday, 7:30AM – 12:30PM or 12:00PM - 5:00PM
Position Purpose/Primary Function:
Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities. Provide positive interaction throughout
Club environment and ensures Club Members are supervised at all times.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Prepare Youth for Success
- Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development
- Promote and stimulate program participation.
- Provide program guidance and role modeling to members.
- Create a high impact learning environment by maintaining a positive attitude with youth, staff, and community.
Program Development and Implementation
- Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for members and
visitors.
- Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members,
quality in programs and appearance of the organization at all times.
- Submit daily activity reports/sign-in sheets and incident reports, prepare program and activity plans.
Supervision
- Ensures positive youth experiences by coaching, mentoring, and developing member's experiences with the Club.
- Capable of maintaining positive and productive work in a high-energy environment.
Self-Development
- Ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly staff meetings.

Education:
- High school or Equivalent (Required)
Experience/Qualifications:
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
- CPR & First Aid Certified (Preferred)
